Renata Auricchio
Professor
Prof. Renata Auricchio, M.D., PhD. (female) is Assistant Professor in Pediatrics. She is the main responsible for the enrollment and follow-up of the clinical cohort described above. She has been involved in the last 15 years in clinical research on celiac disease. Her work has been widely recognized by several prestigious publications and invitations to international meetings (90 original paper published, H-Index 30, citations 3812). In particular, she is committed to clinical studies of prevention of celiac disease and identification of risk factors (environmental, genetics and immunological) involved in the early phases of the disease either in children at risk for the disease or in potential CD. Council Member of the Italian Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology Hepatology and Nutrition (SIGENP) from 2013 to 2016, member of the ESPGHAN Special Interest Group on Celiac disease and Deputy Editor for Journal of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition Reports (JPGN Reports) since 2020.
Contribution to the project: ELFID-UNINA will be involved in WP5 dedicated to the study of exposures on host immune system link to adverse health outcome. More specifically, our contribution to the project will be to contribute in the clinical data collection, for both retrospective and prospective studies, including the assessment of the health status and care management of return and newly enrolled subjects at risk to develop celiac disease (task 5.2 and 5.3).
