INITIALISE at APMRS 2025

On 12 September 2025, Professor Matej Orešič, Coordinator of the INITIALISE project and Professor at the University of Turku, Finland, was invited as a keynote speaker at the Austrian Proteomic and Metabolomic Research Symposium (APMRS 2025), held at TU Wien in Vienna, Austria.

As part of the programme, he delivered the SFB Lipid Hydrolysis Invited Lecture. His talk, titled “Metabolomic and Exposomic Signatures of Steatotic Liver Disease,” focused on the integration of metabolomics and exposomics to identify molecular signatures associated with liver disease.

The approaches presented are relevant to the objectives of INITIALISE, particularly in advancing understanding of how environmental exposures influence metabolic pathways and disease-related mechanisms.

Further information about the symposium is available on the official website: APMRS 2025 – APMA
