The INITIALISE annual meeting in Märsta, Sweden (March 2025)
The INITIALISE consortium gathered in Märsta, Sweden for its annual project meeting. Discussions centered on how the early-life immune system shapes health across the life course and the many factors that influence it.
The project is now generating large volumes of functional and multi-omics data, including metabolomics, exposomics, proteomics, metagenomics (gut microbiome), and glycomics. These datasets, collected from longitudinal clinical cohorts, are being linked to immune, metabolic, and neurocognitive outcomes.
The meeting served as a platform to share new findings, review progress, and align on the next steps. With analyses advancing across partner cohorts, preparations are also underway for the planned intervention trial.
Stay tuned for more updates as INITIALISE continues to generate insights into the factors that define health across the life course.
